P.TO TORRES FACTORY – DESIGN OF REFURBISHMENT / RENOVATION INTERVENTIONS OF MV/LV CABINS
The project documentation was developed in order to define all the characteristics and performances
of the system and detail all the activities necessary to implement the revamping of the Primary
cabin 116064 of the P.to Torres plant.
The new electrical system panels designed were as follows:
- QD6 - MV6KV PANEL
- QPC1 - 400V POWER CENTER PANEL
- QSA - AUXILIARY SERVICES PANEL 400/230
- QK - 110Vdc BATTERY CHARGER PANEL
- QSDA - AUTOMATIC SWITCHING CONTROL PANEL
- QFO - OPTIC FIBRE PANEL
- QKI - UPS PANEL
- QL - CABIN LIGHT/FM PANEL
- QRA - QPC1 FACTOR CORRECTION PANEL WITH BUSBAR
- QRB - FACTOR FACTOR FACTOR BOARD QPC1 BAR B
The project's peculiarity concerned the definition of the automatic high-speed switching system
(ATS-HS), which had to ensure service continuity depending on the type of fault and the
configuration of the MT 6KV cabin network. For all the MT and LV system protections, a redundant
Ethernet network connection was provided via optical fibres and IEC61850 protocol.0.
Activities
Renovation engineering of MV/LV cabins in the plant with updating of the rapid
switching
management logic (ATS-HS), dynamic analysis of network faults, load flow, protection
calibrations, protection selectivity.
