GAS PLANT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM – MV SUPPLY, TRANSFORMER, POWER CENTER, MCC, POWER FACTOR CORRECTION,
PIPELINE CATHODIC PROTECTION
The development of the Capparuccia field, where all process and service facilities
(electrical, instrumentation, etc.) were designed, included the complete sizing of the
gas plant electrical system, comprising:
- MV (20 kV) incoming section from the distribution utility;
- MV/LV transformer section (20/0.4–0.23 kV);
- LV (0.4–0.23 kV) radial distribution to plant utilities;
- Emergency section with diesel generator for backup power;
- UPS section dedicated to control systems;
- Safety services backup (110 Vdc emergency supply).
