By-pass of Falconara (AN) HV Substation

BY-PASS AT 132KV SUBSTATION AT FALCONARA (AN) POWER PLANT

The intervention carried out concerns a modification of the SSE configuration with the insertion of a Bypass in order to be able to carry out maintenance work on the 132KV substation (SSE).

The new switch (PASS – ABB), is connected to the input side, a cable line derived from the energy delivery point. On the output side of the switch instead, the line that will connect to transformer 2 (AT/MT) is derived, thus allowing maintenance in continuity of operation.

The planned works included:

• Construction of reinforced concrete works;
• Construction of cable routes inside the substation;
• Laying of high voltage cables from the delivery point to the switch and from the switch to the transformer supply point;
• Laying of SF6 insulated high voltage switch;
• Construction (modification) of earthing system;
• Construction of a high voltage switch command and control system;
